Wilderness Designs was started by two cousins- Donovan Loomis and Cameron Giesbrecht. After years of observing trees being cut down and burned by the dozens in his hometown in Mississippi, Cameron decided there must be a better way to pay respect to the trees that helped make our planet inhabitable for hundreds of years.
Being lifelong friends, Donovan and Cameron decided it was time to start salvaging these trees and transform them into beautiful heirloom pieces using the finest craftsmanship to preserve their natural beauty for generations to come.
Thus, Wilderness Designs was born. Cameron salvages the trees (many of which date back to the 1800's) in Mississippi, and Donovan uses his craftsmanship to transform their beauty into handmade pieces in North Carolina.
We hope you will join us in this journey as we strive to create sustainability, and give us a reason to pause in our busy lives to appreciate beauty when nature and craftsmanship meet.
